Have you played Tiger Machine in game room? It is really a big machine. How about have a tiny one in your hand and play it whenever you sit down: follow my steps and make a tiny tiger machine for yourself. Press each button and try to get three identical number especially 7-7-7. It would be some interesting sound and light when you make it.
Watch the VIDEO before making.
Step 1: Materials
-
Seeeduino
-
Tick Tock Shield
-
Super clay
-
USB cable (USB-to-Micro USB cable, you will get one when you buy a Seeeduino)
-
Paper box of Tick Tock Shield (you can use another box if you have a better one)
Soldering tools: You can buy some soldering tools if you do not have them.
-
Soldering iron
-
Soldering iron stand
-
Iron cleaner
-
Solder spool
Step 2: Build Your Tick Tock Shield
- Read the guidebook before soldering while preheating your solder iron. You can also download the Soldering Guide.
-
Put all parts into the correct position as guild book shows and solder them one by one. I really recommend you practicing it for a while if you have no experience on soldering.
Step 3: Run The Core of The Machine
- Stack Tick Tock Shield on Seeeduino and connect it to PC with a piece of USB cable.
- Download Tick_Shield_libraries.zip and put the three files in it to this path: ../Arduino/libraries/. You can try the demos in these three files and know the function of Tick Tock Shield well.
-
Download TinyTigerMachine.zip attached and put it into Arduino file.
-
Upload it into your board and try it right now. You can press reset button on Seeeduino to play again.
Step 4: Make a box for this machine
-
Find a paper box and cut it as shown on the picture above. You can use the paper box of Tick Tock Shield (do not forget to leave enough paper for the screws)
-
Put boards into the box and firm the screws to the edge of paper box.
-
Scrawl yellow super clay onto the box and make it smooth. Yes, you can give it a pair of ears and a tail.
- You are all set: try your luck and at getting 3 identical numbers!
