If you are in Science Olympiad here is a guide showing you how to create a Detector for the Detector Building Event.

This is basically a Temperature Monitor that has to perform certain functions at a highschool Science Competition.

In this device, I use a voltage divider using a thermistor to determine the temperature of various liquids. The temperature can then be monitored on the OLED display and the corresponding LED lights up for different temperature ranges. In addition, a potentiometer is added to allow for calibration without changing the code.

Because this device has to measure temperatures of liquids I insulated the thermistor using electrical tape. This served as an effective barrier against the liquids presented at competitions and also didn't affect readings significantly.
