Back in March 2020, there was shortage of masks in Japan, and my 6 year old nephew wanted to make his own. Easy-to-make origami mask is cheap and hygiene. No need for glue or staples.
People tend to re-use disposable masks which reduces the safety, but such behavior is understandable considering the cost and scarcity of masks.
Imagine the world where each shopping centers, movie theaters, museums or libraries have this machine at their entrances, re-usable (and disinfected) non latex silicon bands next to the machine. A stack of A4 papers just have to set, and customers/visitors can wear cheap and environmentally friendly disposable masks.
Logos can be easily printed on those papers, for which maybe some corporation would pay for advertisement fee to pay off the cost, possibly even bringing profit for the mask providers.
Origami mask has enough depth to fit on each faces, thanks to Japanese origami techniques!
