Exploring a Development Board youyeetoo X1: Unboxing and Testing the Youyeetoo X1, an X86 Architecture Development Board
In the field of embedded Linux development, ARM architecture chip platforms are quite common. When it comes to X86 architecture chip platforms, they are typically associated with personal PCs or servers.
Recently, I've received an invitation from youyeetoo Tech to test their latest embedded development platform based on an X86 architecture chip.
This development board is named Youyeetoo X1, an X86 architecture Single Board Computer (SBC) that can run full-fledged Windows and Linux operating systems. It boasts low cost and high performance, primarily targeting the AIoT and automation control markets.
Today, let's start with a brief introduction of this development board and do an unboxing experience. In the following sessions, we will explore the functionalities of the development board.
UnboxingI must say that the employees at youyeetoo Technology are very attentive, and the packaging is extremely secure.
In the packaging, there are three main components: the development board, the display screen, and a display screen stand.
Let's take a look at the design of this SBC together. It exudes a strong sense of technology, and the board is crafted very delicately and beautifully.
The board's dimensions are as small as the palm of your hand, measuring 115 x 75mm. Despite its compact size, it boasts a wealth of interfaces, including 3 UART ports, 2 HDMI ports, 6 USB ports, 1 I2C interface, 1 SPI interface, 5 GPIO pins, which are commonly used in AIOT and IoT applications. Additionally, it supports a 7-inch MIPI touchscreen.
It can be said that the resources are very abundant, making it more than sufficient for learning and practical use.
Processor: 11th Gen Intel Jasper Lake N5105 Celeron (CPU operating frequency 2.0~2.9GHz, four cores, four threads, 10nm TDP 10W).
Graphics GPU: Intel UHD Graphics (Frequency: 450-800MHz).
Memory RAM: Onboard 4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR4 (optional), main recommendation 8GB.
Storage: Onboard eMMC, 0/64GB/128GB/256GB (optional); M.2 expansion, supporting NVMe 2280 SSD (PCIe 3.0) and M.2 SATA 2280 SSD.

This development board supports two operating systems: Windows and Linux.
