Many times I have walked into the office from a long weekend only to find my plants in desperate need of water. However having to walk to the breakroom takes time and I am often running from one meeting to the next, the next thing you know my plant is in plant heaven. This project allows me to use a board (like a photon) to power a DC motor and connect it to Alexa. Now when I walk into the office I can simply say "Alexa, water my plants" and she will use a gallon of water under my desk to pump an oz of water into the plant or plants. She also can be invoked remotely.
