Nowadays, a lot of work need precision. Even the most simple task from reverse parking to unloading good with a crane needs precision.
Doing these tasks normally requires a second individual on the scene to guide us, usually with hand gestures and sometimes verbal communication or shouting.
Though there are instrument such as reversing camera or walkie talkie to avoid screaming. But not machine comes with that kind of instrument. Maybe you will consider a remote control, but don't forget that machine like crane needs individual with special training to operate. Not to forget the fact that you also need a second individual which means more manpower especially for those who lack of these instrument .
Why don't we dump all these inconvenient and use something that are born with us? Our hands.
The first advantage is we don't need to learn to use our for gesture! Have you seen anyone teaching someone on how to give the right gesture for guiding? No! We know how to give the correct gesture by ourselves.
The second advantage is we can reduce manpower. Like what i said before, we can reduce manpower from 2 to 1.
The third advantage is we can be like Magneto !!! Dream do come true, right ? Control things with gesture like when Magneto control metal with his gesture.
This project will be using the on-board sensor to detect the gesture of our hand ( forward, backward, etc) and uses these data to control our machine.
Basically, these features and parts will be used in this project :-
1) Bluetooth LE or Wifi Shield 101 ( send and receive gestures data)
2) 6-axis accelerometer/gyro (detecting gesture)
Though, this project still may not be as perfect in terms of many factors. One of the most profound factor is safety. These factors will be improved throughout the project.
